Who we are

Battle Line Productions is operated by Battleline Productions LLC, a limited liability company based in Michigan, United States. This policy explains what we collect when you visit Battle Line Productions, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

If you have a question about anything below, write to privacy@battlelineproductions.com and a person will answer you.

Information you give us

We only ask for information when you choose to send us something. Our contact form collects your name, your email address, an optional company name, the service you are interested in, and your message. Our mailing list form collects your email address alone.

We keep those submissions so we can reply to you and so we have a record of the conversation. We do not buy contact information, and we do not sell or rent yours.

Information we collect automatically

Our hosting and content delivery providers record ordinary request data such as your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser type, and the time of the request. That data keeps the site available and helps us investigate abuse.

We also measure traffic. Cloudflare Web Analytics runs on every page. It is cookieless, it does not fingerprint your device, and it reports only aggregate page and referrer counts, so it runs without asking your permission.

Cookies and optional analytics

Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are optional. They load only after you accept them in our cookie banner. Google Analytics tells us which pages people read. Microsoft Clarity records anonymized interaction data such as clicks and scrolling so we can find layout problems.

If you accept, those services set cookies including _ga, _gid, _clck, and _clsk. If you decline, they never load and none of those cookies is set. We remember your answer in a single cookie named blp_consent, which stores your choice and the date you made it and nothing else.

You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer. Withdrawing consent stops the scripts from loading again and deletes the vendor cookies listed above from your browser.

Bot protection

Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which separates people from automated submissions. Turnstile receives your IP address and limited browser signals in order to score the request. It is a privacy-preserving alternative to a traditional CAPTCHA. It is not used to profile you and it does not track you across sites.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to answer your question, to prepare a proposal if you asked for one, and to send the mailing list updates you signed up for. We use analytics to decide what to write next and what to fix. We use request logs and Turnstile to keep the site up and to block abuse.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the providers that make this site work: Amazon Web Services for hosting and storage, Cloudflare for content delivery, bot protection, and cookieless analytics, Google and Microsoft for the optional analytics described above, and CommuniQueue, our own email delivery product, for sending the messages our forms generate.

Each provider may use the data only to perform the service we asked for. We will also disclose information if the law requires it, or if we need to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

How long we keep it

Contact form submissions are kept for three years from the date you send them, so we can look back at prior work and conversations. Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for the retention period each provider offers, currently fourteen months for Google Analytics and thirty days for Microsoft Clarity.

Your choices and your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@battlelineproductions.com and we will respond within thirty days. We do not require an account, so we may ask you to confirm the email address you used.

Every mailing list message contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights by statute. We extend the same rights to everyone. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Children

Battle Line Productions is meant for adults doing business with us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to privacy@battlelineproductions.com and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel over encrypted connections and are stored in access-controlled Amazon Web Services accounts that only the people who need them can reach. No system is perfect and we will not claim ours is, but we treat a breach as an emergency and will notify affected people as the law requires.

Where your data is processed

We operate in the United States and our providers process data there. If you contact us from outside the United States, you are asking us to transfer your information to the United States for the purposes described above.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the revision date shown at the top of the page. A material change will also be announced on the site for at least thirty days before it takes effect.
