Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your use of Battle Line Productions, a website operated by Battleline Productions LLC. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

These terms cover the website only. Paid work, licensed products, and hosted services are governed by the separate written agreement covering that engagement, and where the two conflict, that agreement wins.

Using the site

You may read Battle Line Productions, share links to it, and quote short passages with attribution. You may not scrape it at a rate that degrades service for other people, attempt to reach systems or data that are not public, submit our forms by automated means, or use the site to distribute malware or unlawful content.

We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the site at any time. We try to keep it available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service.

Our content

The text, design, graphics, logos, and code on Battle Line Productions belong to Battleline Productions LLC or to the parties that licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing on this site transfers any of those rights to you.

Where we publish source code under an open source license, that license governs the code and grants exactly the rights it states. Nothing in these terms narrows an open source license we have granted.

What you send us

You are responsible for what you submit through our forms. Please do not send confidential information, personal information about someone else, protected health information, payment card data, or anything you do not have the right to share.

When you send us an idea, a suggestion, or feedback, you give us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use it with no obligation to you. We will not treat an unsolicited submission as confidential.

Mailing list

Signing up for our mailing list means you agree to receive product and company updates at the address you gave us. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

Third-party links and services

Battle Line Productions links to sites and services we do not control, including our own products hosted on other domains and the public repositories of projects we publish. We are not responsible for their content, their availability, or their terms. Read their terms before relying on them.

No professional advice

The material on Battle Line Productions is general information about what we do. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice, and reading it does not create a client relationship. A client relationship begins only when both sides sign a written agreement.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Battleline Productions LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be error free, secure, or continuously available, or that the information on it is complete or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Battleline Productions LLC and its members, officers, and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, arising from your use of Battle Line Productions.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred United States dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the maximum extent the law allows.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Battleline Productions LLC harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of anyone else’s rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and both sides consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The revision date shown at the top of the page tells you when they last changed. Continuing to use Battle Line Productions after a change means you accept the updated terms.
